2021 Mission to East Africa
For the 5th year, we will be heading back to East Africa on mission!
Our trip will start in Nairobi, Kenya at a place called Kibera - one of the largest slums in the world. There are over a million and a half people who live in some of the worst conditions the world has to offer. We will build on a decade-long partnership with First Love International Ministries and their work in Kenya. With a message of hope and love, we will spend time working with those who call Kibera home. We will engage in education, health initiatives, service work, and relationship-building while spending time at a grade school, a high school, and at First Love's orphanage.
After a week in Kenya, we will take a short trip down to northern Tanzania. We will be serving in Moshi with Courage Worldwide and supporting their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and show Christ’s love to girls who have been rescued out of sex-trafficking and sex-abuse. The week will be spent in the juxtaposition between the natural splendor of Tanzania’s Mt. Kilimanjaro and the tragedy that our sisters have come from. Our work will include educational talks and classes, sports and recreation, and good old-fashioned quality time with some of the most amazing people on the planet.
This will be a heart check for all of us as we work to bring Christ's love to our family a world away. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and have your life changed forever. We are so excited for 2021 and the opportunity Jesus has given us to serve with Him!
